The Paralyzing Fear of Freedom


Unconquerable Soul

For thousands of years the powers that be have struggled to reign supreme over the common man. More often than not, the power play has been under the facade of some altruistic notion that somehow a more strict grasp on everyday life will contribute to the betterment of society.  Sometimes this grasp comes in small doses like the enforcement of seat belt laws or jay walking tickets and some times it comes in livelihood shattering ways like anti-compete laws meant to preserve monopolies at the top of an economic structure.  Make no mistake though, all of the laws that are meant to stop a victimless crime are slowly but surely putting chains on every citizens way of life…  The problem however, lies in the fact that too many citizens welcome the chains.
 I have always found it hard to believe that anyone would not want to live in total freedom…
